a little piece of paradise

May is going to be a busy month for me, as I mentioned in yesterday’s post.  Busy mostly because I’m graduating with my Education degree, and moving across Canada from beautiful Prince Edward Island to my home province of Alberta.  I haven’t lived out west for ten years, and I have mixed feelings about going back.

On one hand, I’m excited.  I’m excited to build a life with my husband and start my career and family.  I’m excited to see old friends and family and live in a big, bustling city.
On the other hand, I’m feeling a little heartbroken about leaving my dear friends in New Brunswick, and my family in Prince Edward Island.  I love the ocean, the landscape out here, it’s beautiful and mesmerizing and I’m going to miss it so much.  The friends that I have made out here are some of the best I’ve ever had.

My husband and I have moved in with my parents for the first half of the month, until I graduate and we can get on the road.  I’m spending as much time as I can with my mom before we leave.  I am so close to her and will miss her so much.

I’m lucky that I’ve had the chance to live out here for as long as I did.  We went for a walk tonight and I snapped some gorgeous pictures of the water and the cliffs.  Lucky for you I’m willing to share them 😉

But first, can I share this beautiful sunrise I witnessed this morning?  I never saw this from our apartment building in Charlottetown!

Here’s a few pictures from my walk.  I love living on the Island, and I’m lucky I can go enjoy the beautiful scenery.  It’s a piece of paradise, and one of my favourite places in Canada for sure ❤
